A welcomed surprise

Well I wrote a blog last week, but I'm not really sure what happened to it. So I guess I will just go from here. The high light of this week was.... EXCHANGES!!! So why did I love them so much you might ask? Well, the exchanges were set up the week before of course so that I would be going to Vigan and be companion to Sister Seu (Love her) and Sister Pagalaran would be coming here and be companions with Sister Sabio. So we get up Super early so that we can be to Vigan by 7:30. we get there and wait forever! And FINALLY the other sisters show up..... Only no Sister Pagalaran.... huh? It was Sister Woahn and Sister Serapia. SUPRIZE!!! They switched it so that I would be companions with Sister Woahn and Sister Serapia would be with Sister Sabio! Best suprize ever? I think yes!!!

Suprizingly we worked really hard throughout the whole day and even contacted and taught a super rich family.... that's the power of two Americans rightt there! It was sooo great to actually get to work with Sister Woahn for reals and not just in practices at the MTC. I'm gonna have to admit a little bit though.... I LOVE Americans! Maybe it was just Sister Woahn.... but I'm pretty sure I just love working with Americans!!! Philippinos are great to, don't get me wrong, but when there's no culture gap, it's much softer on me:) I cried when I left:(

two days later we had interviews in Vigan again. Elder Reber was there so it was nice to get to see him too! For an activity we had a cookoff,. Since Sister Sabio and I are the only girls in our district, of course we were put in charge of cooking..... Sister Sabio straigh out told me it was up to me to make it happen. Perfect. forced to play the piano, now forced to cook. Luckily my wonderful mother sent me some awesome recipes! And a big shout out to Cathy for the "awesome" Present that she sent to me! HAha love you Sissy!

This week's shout out goes to Cache! I love you and miss you!

Late nights with the locals

Well lets start off with a really funny story shall we? Okay so I’ve been in this area for quite a while right? Well I’ve started to get to know who lives in what houses and what sort of people they are and stuff…. So there is this one house in one of our barangays…. It's HUGE and BEAUTIFUL!!! It’s also what we like to call bahay ng pakiki-apid… or house of adultery. Yes, that’s right…. Its one of THOSE operations.
So the other night when my kasama and I were on our way home, we walked past it to get to the highway… it was late at night and it’s always really hard to find a tricycle to take us back to our apartment so sometimes we have to wait for a long time. Well, this man came over and was super nice to us and was trying to help us get a tricycle. Being the awesome trainer that I am I leaned over to my kasama and told her to teach him about the restoration…. So she started with How to begin teaching and quickly got to what his name was. As soon as he said his name, I just started laughing so hard (inside myself of course) because I knew that I had just told my kasama to teach the gospel to the “master of the house”.
We told him he should come to church (me still laughing the whole time) and he said that he can’t cause he has so many sins, so I told him that he should repentJ then my kasama asked if we could come and visit him and his family sometime and teach them about repentance (at this point I am basically dying) he said that he didn’t think it was a good idea for us to come to his house and when my kasama asked Why? Where did he live, he pointed to his house and said “there. In the house of sins.” Hahah I actually laughed out loud at this point!  He was very nice though and said that he didn’t think that him and all of his wives would be able to come to church!!! Later I explained to my kasama who he was and why it was soooooo funny!!!

Tigers and snakes and Britney Spears OH MY!

So this week we went to the Balluarte for a zone activity... that's the zoo. Right as we got there they had a show and they were asking for volunteers.... no one was volunteering, so I volunteered. As I was standing there they came and put this giant yellow snake on me! Oh my gosh! I almost cried! Then we all held my snakes... and got a picture with a tiger.... that's real. I was standing like a foot away from it! I know it shouldn't be all that exciting for me cause I play with bears back home.... but I was still excited!
We should have a wedding this weekend!!! I'm way excited!

Everyone's new thing with me is Britney Spears... they are convinced that I am actually Brittney Spears..... Goodness.

Happy Birthday to Cathy!

My kasama and I bought these hideous pants... they are huge in style here, everyone loves them.... judge for yourself! (I [Cathy] didn't actually get this picture, just an empty email so you'll have to look on facebook for this picture)

Sorry this is a lame blog... walang oras!
