HIKING!

I'm glad that I got to go on a good hike (outside of summit) before the weather got bad. My friend Virgil invited Cayla and I to go hiking with him and we decided that it would be a lot of fun! My cousin Marc was coming down that weekend so it provided the perfect opportunity to do something awesome while he was here! So after going to the drive-In and staying awake till one (big mistake) We woke up at five Saturday morning to get on our way.
Cayla Jo Nelson and James Tacy came and picked us up at my house and then we were on our way!

I think we look pretty dang good for only having three hours of sleep:)

The hike was seven miles to get into Union falls and then seven to come back out. One the hike we had to cross three rivers. The water was pretty cold, but it could have been worse. The worst part was trying to cross without any shoes on... my feet hurt so bad!! So after the first one, I decided that that was enough! I risked loosing my flip flops in the other ones. I am happy to report that I didn't end up loosing either of them:)

Yay! We finally made it! The falls were huge! And so amazingly beautiful! We ended up thinking that it would be a good idea to climb down to the bottom to see if we could maybe go behind the waterfall or anything cool like that. It was cool all right... and by cool I mean that it was freezing cold! We got blasted by the mist at the bottom and by the time we were anywhere near getting behind the waterfall we were already soaking wet.
Our feet got a little dirty/muddy on the hike down and back from the water fall.

On our way back from the falls we stopped at this little water hole to go swimming. We had to break the rule a little and wander off trail so that we could change, but when we got in the water it was all worth it! The water was extremely warm even though it was moving so fast! We played in the water for about an hour and then we headed back. The trip was really fun and we all had a really fun time!

Oh finally! The joys of Bear world!!!

Thats right everyone after four years of working at Bear World hearing about all of the famous people that the OTHER employees have gotten to see.... My turn has finally come:) Thats right I got to talk to Harrison Ford and  Calista Flockhart today. It Was pretty much great if I do say so myself. (which I do)

After figuring out who she was I decided to go out and creep on her so I went out to get a drink. While I was at the cafe a man came up right next to me and started to put stuff onto his burger. I looked at him for like a second and thought to myself, "hmmm, that man looks like Harrison Ford." Then I continued to creep on Calista. I went back inside and one of the keepers for the bears came in and was like oh my gosh you know who is here? And we said uh yeah Calista! And he said Yeah!!! and Harrison Ford!!!! So I called Cayla Jo a girl that we work with who is amazingly obsessed with Harrison Ford and told her.... then something powerful came over me and I walked outside right up to him and asked him if he would talk to her on the phone!!! Then he did! I was shaking so bad!! I thanked him after he was done and then walked away without a pic or anything. Later his wife came in and I gave her some fudge and her kids bought some stuffed animal wolves:) LOVE IT!!!

By popular demand

By popular demand I am now updating my blog. By popular demand I mostly mean you Cathy because I think that you are probably the only one that even reads this:) I bring to you dazzling lights, party people and the chance to see someone that you may never see again! JOSH GROBAN!!

That's right you can all be jealous for a couple of seconds. One....two... three... Okay time to stop being jealous and read the rest of this highly entertaining blog that will change your life forever. My sister bought the tickets for us to go to the concert last night a couple of months ago. My mom, dad, and friend Kristi all drove down in the morning after Hayden (the little boy that I babysit) Had his little triathalon. Whoow! Go Hayden. On the way down (up?) We stopped in Tremonton at my cousin Jon and Louisa"s house where we chatted with all of our most favorite cousins and then headed off to the gateway mall. As is true on most trips, we got lost:( But ended up finding our way back to where the mall really was. Not before making a stop at one of the sketchiest bathrooms that you will ever see however. Imagine what prison must be like, add the fear of getting Aids, and you will basically get a pretty good understanding of what it was like to us that bathroom. I didn't love it. We shopped for a bit at the mall where I was almost talked into buying a pair of really expensive jeans at the buckle because the man was so attractive and nice. (way to save me on that one Cathy) Then we ate at Applebees (Mmmmm I just remembered I have that upstairs in the fridge.... Yummo!) and headed off to the concert. We got lost in the building, but again we found our way. The opening act was pretty cool, but you just can't compare to Josh Groban. Not only is he talented and good looking, but he also is really funny and crazy! Yeah buddy, that's the way we like em! Now I just need to find a way to meet him, get him to become my best friend, convert him to the gospel, get married and have singing little babies:) I think that this is a good idea:)
OOOOoo that was a really long paragraph... oopsy! We finished off the night by driving home at 11PM at about 130 I had to take over because dad was too tired to drive. Once again Julie proves that good will always triumph over evil! Join us next time for another exciting episode from the life of Julie. Have a great day!

Old Testament Project

So we did a project in old testament where we had to choose something that we wanted to work on. It could be our thoughts, habits, cursing, media, daily scripture study.... you get the idea. I chose to do mine on media because there is so much crap out in the world that finds its way into our minds through the things that we watch, hear, and are exposed to everyday. So I came up with a great plan to help me through this process.
STEP ONE: DESTROY EVIL!

So... you want to look all innocent do you?

Dirty Scum
 HIIIIYAAA!!! TAKE THAT!!!
 HHHMMMM.... That was quite satisfying:)
Ahhh... shiz. Satan won this battle... I just couldn't bring myself to destroy these ones... yet.
Well, There you have it. I didn't completely destroy satan this time around, but there's plenty more where I come from!

My First Blog

It's somewhat depressing that this is going to be my first blog and I really have nothing to talk about. I saw my sister's and I thought that it was... cute? so I decided to make my own. I did find it pretty entertaining that when I was doing the sign up crap that it saig gender: Male, Female, or Other. What the heck does other mean?! Is the world so sad and pathetic that there are people out there that really don't know that they are a male or a female and so websites that let you write about your life in order to not descriminate against these ridiculous people have to add the "other" option onto their websites. And then on top of all of that there are people who are going to write blogs about them doing this, and people like you who are going to read blogs from people who write blogs about companies that do this. Alll I have to say is: "people, figure it out... you are either a man or a woman.... a doctor can help you figure it our if you are really struggling that much." The end. First Blog: COMPLETE.
